A voucher won't redeem
A customer has a voucher but it won't apply at checkout.
Symptoms
- The voucher code is rejected, greyed out, or "not applicable".
- A second voucher won't apply on top of the first.
Likely causes
- Expired or out of its validity window. The voucher has a start/expiry date.
- Already used. Single-use vouchers can't be redeemed twice.
- Trying to stack vouchers. By default only one voucher per sale is allowed.
- Minimum spend not met, or the bill doesn't include the products the voucher is restricted to.
- Outlet scope. The voucher may be limited to outlets that don't include this one.
How to fix
- Check the voucher's status and dates — confirm it's active and not expired or already redeemed. Look it up under Vouchers; at the POS you can also ask Ainstein to look the code up.
- To allow more than one voucher on a sale, set Stack Voucher Type to Multiple in Outlet Settings.
- Confirm the order meets any minimum spend and contains the eligible products/categories.
- Confirm the voucher's outlet restriction includes this branch, and that it was actually issued to this customer (see how customers get vouchers).
Still stuck?
Note the voucher code, the customer's phone, and the bill total, then contact support so they can inspect the voucher's configuration and redemption history.
