My loyalty program won't save

The Loyalty program form won't accept your settings, or saving does nothing.

Symptoms

  • The Save button seems to do nothing, or the form snaps back with an error.
  • You're setting up loyalty for the first time and can't get past the program form.

Likely causes

  1. No membership tier exists yet. This is by far the most common cause. A loyalty program must be attached to a membership tier, so you cannot save one until at least one tier exists.
  2. A required field is empty — for example the earn ratio, the program name, or the linked tier.
  3. You're editing a program that's already Live. Live programs lock most fields to protect transactions in progress.

How to fix

  1. Go to Membership and create a membership tier first (even a single "Member" tier is enough).
  2. Return to Loyalty Points, create the program, and link it to that tier.
  3. Fill every required field — give the program a name and an earn ratio (for example, 1 point per $1).
  4. Save while the program is still in Draft. If you need to change a Live program's locked fields, create a new program instead.

Confirm a tier really saved (it should appear under Membership). If the form still rejects a complete program, capture a screenshot of the form with the error showing and contact Rewardly support.
