What Members See
Overview
Your customers experience Rewardly through the member app. Knowing what they see helps you understand how your setup looks from the other side — and what to expect when customers ask questions.
The membership card
Each member has a membership card they can tap to flip:
- Front — their loyalty balance, and their membership tier name with a membership icon. A customer with no tier sees "No Membership".
- Back — their membership expiry date and email.
The card is tinted with your brand colour. Only tiers with Show on Member App enabled appear here.
Points balance
Tapping the points area opens the Point view, which splits the balance in two:
- Active — points that can be spent right now.
- Inactive — points that have been earned but aren't available yet. If a release is scheduled, the member sees a "… will be available on …" date.
A Transactions list shows every earn and spend, each with its expiry date.
"Inactive" is not "pending"
The app uses Active and Inactive — there is no separate "pending" label. Inactive simply means points earned but not yet released (see Portion settings on the Loyalty Points page).
Self-service redemption
If you enable Allow redeem loyalty at Customer in Merchant Settings, members can redeem points themselves:
- They enter an amount (capped at their available balance) and tap Get QR code.
- The app shows a QR code, with the instruction to "Scan this QR code in the Rewardly Store app to redeem your loyalty."
- Your POS staff scan it — the actual deduction happens at the till.
There is also a Shopify discount code option for merchants using Shopify.
Vouchers
The member's voucher feed is split into:
- My — vouchers they already hold.
- Other — vouchers available to claim.
Each voucher shows its name, code, and expiry. Tapping one opens its full detail.
Store credit
Members see a Store Credit card with their current Balance. Their credit history is grouped into three tabs:
- Collect — credit added (top-ups, cashback, rewards).
- Gift — credit gifted to or from other members.
- Spends — credit spent.
Each entry is marked Top up, Redeemed, or Voided, and shows "No expiry" or an expiry date.
Referral rewards
When a member refers a friend, their referral rewards appear as voucher or credit cards in the refer-a-friend section of the app.
