Self-Service Kiosk
Overview
The self-service kiosk is a customer-operated ordering terminal — an Android tablet, usually mounted at your entrance. Customers choose dine-in or pickup, browse the menu, optionally sign in as a member, and check out themselves.
How it works
- Each physical kiosk is registered in the admin as a kiosk device account with its own login.
- The kiosk shows the menu for its outlet.
- After checkout it can issue a pager/buzzer number or a table number.
- Members can sign in on the kiosk to earn and redeem.
Default setup
Bean & Brew example: one entrance kiosk for dine-in and pickup orders.
- In the sidebar open Kiosks, then click Create.
- Fill in:
- Username and Password — the device login for this kiosk
- Outlet and Outlet Register — what the kiosk belongs to
- Order modes — turn on Dine In, Pickup, and/or Pay Bill
- Member login type — how members sign in (show QR, phone, OTP, scan QR)
- Save, then log the kiosk tablet in with that username and password.
