Self-Service Kiosk

Overview

The self-service kiosk is a customer-operated ordering terminal — an Android tablet, usually mounted at your entrance. Customers choose dine-in or pickup, browse the menu, optionally sign in as a member, and check out themselves.

How it works

  • Each physical kiosk is registered in the admin as a kiosk device account with its own login.
  • The kiosk shows the menu for its outlet.
  • After checkout it can issue a pager/buzzer number or a table number.
  • Members can sign in on the kiosk to earn and redeem.

Default setup

  1. In the sidebar open Kiosks, then click Create.
  2. Fill in:
    • Username and Password — the device login for this kiosk
    • Outlet and Outlet Register — what the kiosk belongs to
    • Order modes — turn on Dine In, Pickup, and/or Pay Bill
    • Member login type — how members sign in (show QR, phone, OTP, scan QR)
  3. Save, then log the kiosk tablet in with that username and password.
