Glossary
Plain-language definitions of every term used in Rewardly and in this guide.
Admin dashboard
The web app where you, the merchant, configure everything — programs, outlets, products, and settings. See What is Rewardly?.
Aggregator
A third-party ordering platform — Grab, Foodpanda, Deliveroo, Keeta, or Eats365 — whose orders can flow into Rewardly. See Delivery.
Bottle keeping
Tracking a bottle a customer buys and leaves at your venue to finish on later visits. Also called bottle parking. See Bottle Keeping.
Cashback
A reward that returns a percentage of a purchase to the customer later, as store credit. See Cashback.
Channel
Where a sale happens — POS (in-store till), Kiosk (self-order screen), or Online (web ordering). Some programs can be limited to certain channels.
CommerceOS
The part of Rewardly for selling — point of sale, menus, online ordering, kiosk, kitchen displays, tables, and delivery. See CommerceOS.
Combo
A single product made up of several other products bundled together.
Discount
Money taken off the bill immediately at checkout. See Discounts.
Draft / Live
A program's status. Draft means saved but inactive — customers never see it. Live means active and running. Once Live, a program's fields lock.
Gateway
An integration with a card processor (Adyen, Stripe, Fiuu, and others) that lets the POS take card payments. See Card & Terminal Payments.
Ingredient
A raw material — beans, milk, cups — tracked by StockOS in the recipe model. See Ingredients & Recipes.
Ingredient bundle (recipe)
The list of ingredients, and the amount of each, that makes one product.
Inventory
Stock tracking for whole sellable items (the unit model). See Inventory.
Kiosk
A customer-operated self-service ordering terminal. See Self-Service Kiosk.
Kitchen Display (KDS)
A screen that shows orders to kitchen staff or to customers at a pickup counter. See Kitchen Display.
Loyalty Conditions
Rules that cap how many points a customer may redeem on an order, based on the order's size. Not related to tier upgrades. See Loyalty Points.
LoyaltyOS
The part of Rewardly for rewards — membership, points, vouchers, stamp cards, store credit, discounts, cashback, packages, and referral.
Loyalty points (points)
The reward currency members earn on purchases. You name them (e.g. Beans) and set their cash value. See Loyalty Points.
Loyalty program
A configured rule that earns points for a membership tier. Every loyalty program must be linked to one tier.
Member
A customer who has joined your loyalty program. Identified by phone number; holds a tier, a points balance, store credit, and vouchers.
Member app
The phone app where customers see their tier, points, vouchers, and store credit. See What Members See.
Membership tier
A level a member belongs to — e.g. Member, Silver, Gold. On its own it earns nothing; it must be paired with a loyalty program. See Membership & Tiers.
Menu
A named set of categories and products, assigned to outlets, that decides what is available for sale. See Menus.
Merchant
Your business — the account that owns the outlets, programs, and settings.
Modifier
An add-on or option on a product — an extra shot, oat milk, a choice of sauce.
Online ordering
Customers ordering from their own phone, via a QR code or link, with no app. See Online Ordering.
Operation type
An outlet's service style: Quick Service (QSR) for counter service, Full Service (FSR) for table service, or Retail for shops.
Outlet
One physical location (a branch or store). See Outlet Settings.
Outlet register
One till inside an outlet. A POS tablet logs in to a register. See POS Settings.
Package
A bundle of rewards (store credit + points + vouchers) handed out together — used for welcome gifts and big rewards. See Packages.
Payment method
A way customers can pay, shown as a tile on the POS. Includes Cash, points (Loyalty), and store credit. See Payment Methods.
PaymentOS
The part of Rewardly for taking payment — card terminals, QR and digital wallets, post-pay credit, split bill, and payment reports.
PayNow
A Singapore QR-based payment method. See QR & Digital Wallets.
POS
Point of Sale — the tablet app your staff use to ring up sales. See Point of Sale.
Post-pay credit
A credit line that lets a trusted member pay now and settle later, even with an empty store credit balance. See Post-Pay Credit.
Program
A configured reward rule. Loyalty, Voucher, Stamp, Discount, Cashback, Package, and Referral are all programs. Each has a Draft / Live status.
Ratio (earn rate)
The number that sets how fast points are earned: amount spent ÷ ratio = points. A ratio of 1 earns 1 point per $1.
Referral
A program that rewards members for bringing in new customers. See Referral.
Split bill
Dividing one order into several sub-bills so groups can pay separately. See Split Bill.
Stamp card
A digital "collect and reward" card — e.g. buy 9, get 1 free. See Stamp Cards.
StockOS
The part of Rewardly for inventory — stock tracking, ingredients and recipes, suppliers, modifier stock, and bottle keeping.
Stock order
A purchase order to a supplier to restock ingredients. See Suppliers & Purchasing.
Store credit
A prepaid money balance a customer can spend like cash. See Store Credit.
Terminal
A physical card-reader device the POS uses to take card payments.
Tier upgrade
Moving a member from one membership tier to a higher one. With auto-upgrade on, this happens automatically when a member qualifies.
Variant
A version of a product — a size or flavour — with its own price and stock.
Voucher
A coupon for money off, a free item, or a fixed price. See Vouchers.
